It's been more than forty five years since Sammy Zito, his late father 'Big Sam', and his wife Laura began the business with their office in the kitchen of Laura and Sammy's house.  Zito Companies has continually upgraded their towboat fleet with refurbishments, and repowerings. Fleeting, and Shipyard operations have been adjusted and upgraded by adding additional docking space, and fleeting space in the port of New Orleans.
